Natural spring located on the edge of the river bed of the river Frio (in this area known as Ribeira de Queixoperra), next to a small horizontal gallery where relatively smooth rusty conglomerate rocks emerge through the continuous passage of the river waters. The surfaces of the slabs, smooth and flat, are arranged almost horizontally and have been used and used by local laundresses for several decades.
The water source is the result of the intersection of several cracks that integrate a fault zone of some kilometres, through which the water circulates. When the gallery, with transversal development to the mentioned cracks, intersects the mentioned cracks, the water starts to flow through the gallery in the direction of the riverbed.
Another interesting aspect, which can be observed on the right bank of the river is the occurrence of several very tight folds, with verging to the southwest and inverse short flanks, whose genesis is associated with the transportation of blocks of rocky materials to the northeast.
