The mountains scattered throughout the territory - Bando dos Santos, Bando do Codes, Santo António, Amêndoa, Galega, Águas Quentes, Alfeijoeira, Casal and Moledo - make a green mosaic stand out with a high level of landscape interest and which offers the "good airs" of Mação.
This green mosaic is associated with an extensive and rich hydrographic network where the good waters of Mação run. The dozens of springs and streams (Eiras, Coadouro, Boas Eiras, Pracana, Ocreza and Bostelim), to which the Ortiga, Pracana and Espelho de Água dams and the Tejo river are added, provide a set of river beaches and bathing areas that constitute leisure spaces for residents and tourists.
In the water mirror of Ribeira de Eiras, a few minutes away from the county seat, two of the 3 A's that make Mação famous are joined with special strength: the good waters and the good air. We add an S, of shadow, and an E, of charm.
