GEOCACHING POINT
A viewpoint is an elevated place from which to observe a landscape.
It can be artificial - like an observation tower or a building - or natural, like a mountain.
This viewpoint is located on the right bank of the Ribeira do Carvoeiro, east of Caratão Village.
The landscape that can be seen ranges from the millenary Cabril Valley, Pego do Morena (north), to the Garganta do castelo Velho do Caratão, with the Estreito Bridge at its base.
The mountain ahead is Alfeijoeira, which has its western end here in this valley.
In the background, you can see the Fadagosa Mill and the VOR NISA (Air Navigation).
