The Ribeira do Carvoeiro has along its course some places of rare beauty, one of them is the Pego Negro do Cabril, in Vale da Mua, which consists of a geological fault where you can observe a small waterfall that flows into a pond.
In the summer it is possible for some of the locals to jump from the top of the rock into the water.
Due to the characteristics of the place there is a climbing sector called psicobloc, which consists of four routes whose difficulty varies between grades V and 6c. All routes have the same access and starting point, at the bottom near the water ending at the top of the rock.
The name of this sector derives from a type of climbing with some special features, safety is not performed by ropes, the falls are cushioned by the climber falling into the water.
Besides the activities mentioned, the area is also suitable for good hiking taking advantage of the fresh air and surrounding landscapes.
