The Ribeira do Carvoeiro has along its course some places of rare beauty, one of them is Black Catch of Cabril in Vale da Mua, which consists of a geological fault where you can see a small waterfall that flows into a lagoon.
In summer it is possible for some visitors to jump from the top of the rock into the water.
Due to the characteristics of the place there is a climbing sector called psycobloc, it consists of four routes whose difficulty varies between degrees V and 6c. All the routes have the same access and starting point, at the bottom next to the water ending at the top of the rock.
The name of this sector derives from a climbing modality with some special characteristics, safety is not done by ropes, falls are cushioned by the climber's fall in the water.
Besides the activities mentioned, the area is also conducive to good walks taking advantage of the clean air and surrounding landscapes.
The access is made through a dirt road of about 500 meters, the floor is in good condition and without great unevenness and can be done in most light vehicles.
After parking it is necessary to walk about 200 metres.
