Departure from Mação towards Ortiga, in the southernmost area of the municipality. In this riverside parish, eternally in love with the Tagus River, awaits you, besides the inviting River Beach (5020), real archaeological treasures such as the Anta da Foz do Rio Frio (5009) and the Roman Spa (5007). There are also two Viewpoints that you cannot miss, the Boavista (5047) and the Formosa (5028). In this village you will find, as you couldn't miss, excellent options to taste the unique fish of the river, both near the river beach (5020) and in Ortiga, where, moreover, we recommend that you also visit the local Museological Nucleus (5033).
Since it is nearby, visit the Espelho de Água (6028), a paradisiacal place from where you can see the only piece of territory belonging to the Alentejo, but on the right bank of the Tagus: Belver (Gavião).
Return to Mação. At the entrance of the village you can visit the Roman Bridge (6043) and a little higher the imposing Mother Church (6019). Absolutely enriching is also the visit to the Museum of Prehistoric and Sacred Art in the Tagus Valley (6001), which you cannot even leave behind.
Finally, we recommend that you finish the tour at the Miradouro do Cabeço da Cruz (6038), from where you can contemplate the whole village and rest from this beautiful journey.
